When you walk into Jobs Plus you can expect to be treated fairly and with respect. We will be direct with you about who we are and what we expect from you. Our program consistes of five steps which usually take about ten weeks to complete. The steps are: - Referral. You must obtain a referral from one of our partnering agencies. You can download a referral form here. A list of referring agencies can be found here.
- Intake Interview. After you have returned with a referral form, you will be scheduled for an intake interview. One of our Career Counselors will meet with you to discuss your background and personal goals.
- Jobs Plus Club. After your intake interview you will be enrolled in the Jobs Plus Club. Here you will meet with other associates to recieve life skills training and connect with Jobs Plus staff to discuss challenges and successes. The club meets every week and covers ten separate topics.
- Job Readiness Seminar. This two-day seminar teaches the skills and values you will need to find employment and succeed in the workplace. It must be completed before beginning your job search.
- Job Placement Interview/Job Search. After attending the Job Readiness Seminar and two club meetings, you will meet again with your Carreer counselor to develop a job search action plan. This plan will serve as your accountability during the job search process.
